Automated bidding amplifies a tracking error, it does not absorb it
Smart Bidding will not correct a measurement mistake. It will act on it faster and with more of your money. Here is how to see what the system actually sees.
The bottleneck in creative production is gone. Someone who used to manage four ads a month can now manage forty. That is a real advantage if there is a system behind it, and a real risk if there is not.
Because whatever goes out, goes out in your name.
A claims list. Write down in one place what may and may not be claimed about your product. Delivery time, warranty, certification, price, comparison to a competitor. Generated copy will sound convincing whether or not the claim is true. That is not a style problem, it is a legal one, and the ad platforms will reject it too.
Locked phrases. The name of the promotion, the warranty wording, the legal footnote. These have to travel verbatim. If the machine writes "charger" where the product is a "fast charger", you are advertising a different product.
Human approval on the way out. You do not need to read every variation. But someone has to be accountable for what goes live. In practice that is one person and one checklist.
A measurable split. If you launch twenty variations with no breakdown of what each one produced, you have not learned anything. You have just spent more.
Not in the final copy. In the number of variations during the exploration phase.
The old method was to test two ads and know after six weeks which one was better. The new method is to test ten different angles and know after six weeks which angle works. Then you take that angle to finished quality by hand.
AI does not write the good ad. It finds out which direction the good ad should be written in.
Text inside the visual. Image generators are still unreliable with letterforms, and a typo on a live ad is not a mistake, it is a cost. Put the text on as a separate layer.

If the system only sees that a form arrived, it will bring you forms. Here is how to give it back the information about which ones became business.
Automation is good at volume and speed. It is bad at judgement. A simple split that decides what you should let go of.
